Carnival: Skating and Kids Zones Print

premier_carnival6 Just like the popular dance events, the Minus18 space at Midsumma promises to be a fantastic opportunity for same sex attracted youth to meet others like them in a fun and safe environment. During the day Minus18 will offer music, dancing, chillout areas and live musical performances from patrons, while Q-DECKS will offer more music, prize giveaways, skateboard demonstrations and even skateboard lessons.

Q-Decks

Indi queers, skater fags, disenchanted youth and friends, Q-Decks is your hub this Carnival Day. Set around the Riverslide Skate Park, Q-Decks features skateboard lessons, killer demos and alternative DJs to make your Midsumma rad. At 6pm the under-agers take over as Q-Decks transforms into a pumpen minus18 party with live video art at sundown.

IKEA Kidz Zone

Midsumma's Kidz Zone is back with thanks to IKEA! When the drag queens get a little scary and the kidz (and you) need a break, be sure to check-in to Kidz Zone. A fun and secure space where the kidz can run wild. With a swag of fun activities, baby change facilities, play equipment, face painting, story telling and much more it'll be the place to be for Summa Kidz this Carnival. Mums and Dads, be sure to stay and play!

... and then there's the kid's after party: T-Dance Junior.
