In Gender Typ(0)es, Turnbull, Metayeff and Payne offer an autoethnographic exploration of embodied gender, juxtaposing personal, cultural, and individual images of gender. The work is intended to provoke audience examination of their subjective gender experience against contemporary representations of gender norms, and aims to create space for gender-non-conforming performativity.
