Premier Event: The 17th Annual Pride March.

Join your fellow LGBT community and those who support us in a show of solidarity and diversity as we march down Fitzroy Street in the 17th Annual Pride March Victoria. The International theme for 2012 is "Pride links us together".
Registrations for groups interested in marching have now closed - to see who'll be marching and the order in which they will appear, check out the full list of marching groups. That list plus maps of both the Assembly area and Catani Gardens plus the entertainment schedule will also appear in the MCV issue leading up to the event.
If you'd like to be one of the wonderful volunteers who help Pride March to run so smoothly, please fill out the Volunteer Application Form on the Pride March website.
Individuals who wish to march should go to the assembly area (in the park, near the corner of Lakeside Drive and Fitzroy Street) from noon on Sunday 5 February. Most of the marching groups (including Midsumma Festival!) would welcome anybody who's interested in joining them. The parade starts at 2pm sharp, finishing in the Catani Gardens, near the beach at the end of Fitzroy St.
The celebrations then continue at Catani Gardens till 10pm with non-stop entertainment on two stages, food galore, lots to see in the MCV Community Village and two massive bars in which to enjoy a cold libation. Remember that Pride March Victoria is a NO BYO event.
