Thanks for your interest in Midsumma and your commitment to our volunteer program. Midsumma is a volunteer fuelled organisation that simply couldn't operate without the passionate and committed contribution from individuals within our community. Each and every volunteer is an ambassador for Midsumma: enthusiastic, friendly, helpful and professional at all times.
Thanks also to the volunteers who attended our volunteer briefing sessions on Thursday 5 January 2012 at The Leveson, 46 Leveson Street, North Melbourne and on Wednesday 11 January at Birrarung Marr.
Midsumma is always recruiting volunteers to assist in all aspects of Midsumma Festival, including leadership positions:
- Front of house: Box Office/Ushering/Gallery greeting
- Premier event management
- Carnival production, stage management & bar staff
- Visual arts - both organising the program & assisting in delivering it
- Performing Arts (theatre productions) - both organising the program & assisting in delivering it
- Promotion & Marketing
- Administration throughout the year
- IT and Web development throughout the year
- The volunteer Board defines the vision & strategy of Midsumma, directs all aspects of the festival and monitors the level of achievement of their objectives ... more details

The Midsumma Volunteer Agreement contains the agreements between you and Midsumma around your obligations and rights as a volunteer. Before registering, be sure to read the Midsumma Volunteer Agreement.
Midsumma has now found two volunteer team leaders to share the load and lead during the preparation period in the Midsumma office and to carry on into festival.
If you have even a small amount of time each week or every fortnight and would like to get involved already, we would love to hear from you. Positions have a minimum 6 month commitment. More details will be posted soon!
