Midsumma is brought to you by a volunteer Board of Management, elected by the membership. The Board directs all aspects of the festival, working with part time administration and event production staff, plus over 150 volunteers and various contracted agencies.

Midsumma's constitution provides for up to 16 Board Members. Elections are held in May each year.
The Board focuses on prudential supervision and the strategic direction of the Festival, though also manages some executive and operational functions. The Festival enjoys strong relationships with sponsors, government and semi-government agencies and a wide range of supporting organisations.
