Midsumma

Key dates for the 21st Midsumma Festival are:

• Carnival: Sun 18 Jan 2009 - with thanks to the City of Melbourne.
       Carnival will again be held in the Alexandra Gardens (on Sunday).
     
• Performing Arts: from Thu 15 Jan 2009.
• Pink Shorts: The 2009 Pink Shorts season will be from Tuesday 3rd February to Saturday 7th February.
• Festival hub programs at the Butterfly Club, Chapel Off Chapel, Gasworks & the Glasshouse will start on Thu 15 Jan 2009.
    
  
• Visual Arts: from Tue 13 Jan 2009.
• The City of Melbourne's "Queer City" launch date will be advised soon.
• The City of Yarra's "Yarra Arts" dates will be advised soon.
  
• Gasworks Visual Arts program will start from Tue 13 Jan 2009.
    
• Closing weekend: Sat 7 and Sun 8 Feb 2009.
