As we approach another exciting Midsumma, it’s time to secure your organisation’s presence at Melbourne’s ultimate big queer day out – Midsumma Carnival. The 2011 Midsumma Carnival is our spectacular opening event and the largest on the Midsumma calendar.

This fantastic day offers you an opportunity to engage directly with the thousands of visitors to Carnival. It’s a fun, interactive day, with a huge variety of activities and entertainment. It’s the day to show your colours, showcase your wares, profile your services, develop marketing databases, attract new members and expose your organisation to Melbourne’s vibrant queer community, their families and friends. You will also be supporting your Midsumma, Australia’s premier queer community festival.

We’re excited about our move to the northern side of the river into one of Melbourne’s newest event spaces, Birrarung Marr.  Having hosted major events such Parklife and FINA Festival 2007, it’s our turn to paint the town Queer!

We endeavour to make this day as affordable as possible, whilst acknowledging the considerable costs involved in producing this major event.  Despite our change of venue, in 2011 there will be no increase on Stallholder fees.  Of course we still have our generous early bird discount rates, so get in early and don’t miss out.

Join us as we transform the City of Melbourne into the queerest party in town!  With all the old favourites and plenty of exciting new concepts, the 2011 Midsumma Carnival is gearing up to be our best yet. We look forward to seeing you at Midsumma Carnival on Sunday 16 January 2010, for the opening of the 23rd Anniversary Midsumma, Celebrating Queer Culture.
