This show is for the girls, the gays, the thems, and the theys. Bring your vape and meet us front left. SHABLAM.

CLUB NITE is a cathartic commentary on self-exploration and current social politics, poking fun at the weekend antics we all know, love, and have missed.

This new theatre work, written, devised and created by three emerging Naarm-based young creatives, is a biting satire, painfully self-aware of the Gen Z Melbourne scenes that its performers both operate in – and see right through. CLUB NITE is a visceral, unique expression of comedy, youth culture and friendship that exposes us for the artsy frauds we are, while still making our audience feel seen and loved. CLUB NITE is targeted at Zoomers and everyone who loves to hate them.

At Mudfest Arts Festival 2021, the CLUB NITE Staged Reading broke the record for most online ticket sales, and was nominated for Most Outstanding Performers and the Artist Activist Award.

"CLUB NITE is such an exciting new work. It made me consider my own kind of performative 'wokeness.' It tackles a very serious subject matter with extraordinary comedic timing from an all-star team. I am dying to see this work live in person and I've never wanted to return to Smith Street quicker! It made me feel nostalgic about pre-COVID, 'pre-ing before the uber arrives' times, whilst simultaneously making me ponder the privileges I have come to a deeper understanding of during these lockdown times."
