Dubhessa

With special guests Ashbel
Bear witness to a unique and experimental heavy music performance in what was one of Victoria’s oldest churches, the stunning Chapel off Chapel in Windsor.
Repurposed as a premium seated live venue, this iconic and intimate space sets the stage for a raw and defiant act of purge and reclamation from two unique and visceral performances:
- Ashbel are a well-crafted amalgamation of misery and distress; sludgy anger surrounded by noise-ridden filth surrounded by a shadow of ire ruminations.
- Dubhessa is a post-punk outfit consisting of 3 trans femmes. Their name means “Dark Beauty” – and their story reflects the skill of finding beauty in the darkest corners, which is necessary for their survival. They channel and express this experience, drawing from a broad pallet of influences which results in moments that range from tenderness and fragility to raw, defiant anger. They touch on themes such as identity, sex, grief, loss, gender, oppression and euphoria.
