Ride Hard or Stay Home

Dykes on Bikes Melbourne is having a big party to celebrate 10 years of our proud club supporting WLW moto riders. Share in the experience of live performances, DJs, moto gear, bootblacks and music - inside Melbourne's most prestigious gay club, The Laird. Everyone is invited to help us party. Our event is open to all identities, sexualities and personalities who like a rock'n party.

No dancing? That won't stop us from celebrating (in a safe way) our ten-year anniversary with you allllll! We have pivoted our setup to make sure we can still enjoy the night to the max. We have new names added to our line-up of performances, a gold coin snag sizzle and some hot offers in our silent auction. We have confirmed we have a 200 people capacity so tickets are HOT HOT HOT!

LINEUP:

  • Jo Bangles *emcee
  • Michelle Parsons
  • Justin Teliqure
  • Freddie Merkin
  • Michelle McCormick
  • DJ Kelly Chrome

Jo Bangles holds the title of the longest standing president of one chapter of the largest lesbian organisation in the world, Dykes on Bikes Melbourne. Achieving 10 years in the top job Jo Bangles has evolved the club into an iconic membership based organisation gaining respect from the wider community and empowering its members to actively participate with passion and purpose.

Michelle Parsons is a Melbourne based singer/songwriter Michelle Parsons sings with powerful & passionate vocals. As a performer, she has been impressing punters on the live circuit for years.

Justin Teliqure is Melbourne's hottest Drag King extraordinaire who specialises in hip hop while also having choreographed and performed genres as varied as rock, musical theatre and old school jazz. He is a mixed bag of creativity and loves to bring new acts to the stage.

Freddie Merkin was born out of the East - this Melbourne-based drag king is a whole lot of hairy guy. He prides himself on his bushy upper lip and a wardrobe with more spandex and Lycra than an 80s aerobics class. A sassy mix of humour and sex appeal, he may leave you feeling a little confused.

Michelle McCormick has been performing with her band as Hotbox, and is back after a break from music and performing solo with the new songs she has written over the last couple of years. Michelle has performed at Dykes on Bikes events before and at Queenscliff music festival and has recently debuted her new music at Wax Lyrical in Sunbury for singer/songwriters. Her latest music is best described as folk/country and is about life, loss and love and how we get through the hard times.
