Feral Queer Camp: Picnic in the Park
A picnic conversation open to everyone who is interested in queer performance (whether or not you’ve seen any this Midsumma). Bring along some food for sharing, a rug if you have one, and we’ll do some 'picnic rug hopping'; in the grounds of Abbotsford Convent. We’ll chat about what queer performance means to you:
- What queer performance work has inspired you?
- What kind of work queer work do you want to see that you haven’t?
- Does queer performance contribute to community and individual well-being?
- Given half a chance, what kind of work would you make or commission?
Open to those new to queer performance and those seasoned by it, take the opportunity to hang out with other members of the community and facilitators to share your experiences. Picnic in the park is a chance to snack, talk with other queer performance enthusiasts, makers, thinkers and funders to share your ideas about what queer performance work does and what it still needs to do.
