Half Baked: Two Quirkshops for the Fabulously Bent

with JulieMc McNamara

Where do we get sustenance? Who fuels our feral hearts? These quirkshops with theatre director, playwright and disability arts advocate, JulieMc McNamara, are about looking back at our idols in the dust of the Crip Queer dynasty and brewing trouble.

Who were your trail-blazers and role models growing up Queer / Crip? Who slashed and burned the doors down to blast their way into being, into public life and into your imagination? Join Julie McNamara a.k.a. Macccas to chew the fat in our Quirkshops at the Feral Queer Camp looking back over a fabulously feral past with unruly minds and atypical bodies leading the way to notoriety and non-normative glory. JulieMc invites local Queer Crips to gorge together on the glories of our beautifully bent hissstories. Think Leigh Bowery, Katharine Araniello, LeRoy Moore and you’re heading in the right direction!

Attend one or both workshops. All Crips and Queers welcome.
