Pleasure Project 2023
Pleasure Project is an annual exhibition highlighting queer women and gender diverse peoples’ experiences of sex, sexuality, intimacy and pleasure.
Co-curated by Tor Evans and Madeline Ferme, this year's exhibition brings together works by local and international artists Cat Jones, Clitopatra, Frances Cannon, Ggggrimes, J Davies, Jasmine Crisp, Kitty Chrystal, Laura Du Vé, Little Eyes Alien, Sara Lorusso, Shreya Shetty and Wee Moody Judy.
Pleasure Project 2023: I Admire, I Desire takes its cue from a common conundrum faced by queer women and gender diverse people —"do I want be them or do I want to be with them?" Showcasing artworks across painting, sculpture, photography and digital drawing, the exhibition celebrates the fluidity of admiration and desire through a queer, intersectional lens and highlights the nuances of queer intimacies and identities.
