Midsumma Festival Live at the Bowl

A soirée of FREE queer live entertainment.
Australia’s LGBTQIA+ arts and cultural experience, Midsumma Festival, in partnership with Arts Centre Melbourne are excited to introduce the inaugural Midsumma Festival Live at the Bowl.
Celebrating diverse journeys and communities, Midsumma Festival Live at the Bowl will host a soirée of FREE queer live entertainment and a spectacular line-up of live performance, comedy and music at the iconic Sidney Myer Music Bowl on Friday 30 April and Saturday 1 May.
The night will be hosted by the glorious Virginia Gay and Aysha Buffet, with performances from Mama Alto, Trevor Ashley, Deborah Cheetham, Rachel Dunham, Michael Griffiths, Annie Aitken, Reuben Kaye, Jackie Loeb, Johnny Manuel and Sheldon Riley, supported by Missy LaMinx, Sasha Starr, Taylor Made, D Flowers, Miss Jay, Luma, Kali Forni-Kate, Bae L'amour, Justin Teliqure, Leasa Mann, Tequila Mockingbird and Nathan Smith.
The concert will also be live-streamed from the Midsumma Festival Facebook page or the Midsumma YouTube channel at 7:45pm. The event will be Auslan interpreted as well as the livestream event assisted by captions.
Tickets are FREE, which also means they are limited. Please only reserve what you intend to use and leave some love for everyone else. If you realise you can no longer attend, reach out to us so we can share it forward.
There are three ticket categories for Midsumma Festival Live at the Bowl. We recommend planning ahead as each option reserves a designated area for your group in the Sidney Myer Music Bowl and must be booked in one transaction.
Tickets can be booked as:
Decks are raised platforms and feature one chair per guest and one bar table. These decks are ideal for larger groups, accommodating up to four or six guests. A deck must be booked in a single transaction. Your booking will reserve an entire deck for you and your group to dance, stand or sit as you please.
Lawn decks: For up to six guests
Lawn decks are located on the lawn of the Sidney Myer Music Bowl. You are welcome to reserve a deck for fewer than six guests, however you will receive all six tickets.
Terrace decks: For up to four guests
Terrace decks are located on the terrace of the Sidney Myer Music Bowl, directly behind the stalls. You are welcome to reserve a deck for fewer than four guests, however you will receive all four tickets.
For groups up to two or four guests
Stalls tables are located on a tiered floor in the stalls of the Sidney Myer Music Bowl. Tables are suited for groups of up to two or four guests. Every table has a chair for each guest and comes with an up-close view of the stage.
A stalls table must be booked in a single transaction. You are welcome to book a table for fewer than two or four guests, however you will receive all tickets to the table.
Recommended for one to two guests
Balcony seats are located in the balconies of the Sidney Myer Music Bowl. Balcony seats offer a close-up side-view of the stage.
Single seats and pairs of two seats are available. A pair of balcony seats must be booked in a single transaction.
