Meet Midsumma's Pink (the colour) enthusiast and events bombshell, Jason - your Ticketing & Producer Services Manager
Jason Marsiglia is an absolute queen of all things festivals and events, not only in Melbourne but also across Australia and international waters, including Edinburgh Fringe, Sydney Film Festival and Adelaide Fringe Festival, just to name a few notches on that belt.
Bringing his empowering attitude from his work on stage to his work inside the Midsumma office, Jason is the artist's support, firm hand and the knowledge bank of all Midsumma 2020 events.

Q: Describe yourself in three words: Passionate. Playful. Pink.
Q: Best festival experience? Binging as many shows as I possibly could at Edinburgh Fringe. I was running across the city all month and I managed to squeeze in 60+ shows.
Q: What is your favourite song and why? Juice by Lizzo - it reminds me of dancing with my best pals, either on a festival dance floor or in our kitchen.
Q: What is the future of queer arts and culture? Adventurous, innovative and most importantly diverse!
The queer community has so many different identities that encompass all variations of sexuality and gender. The future will be more representative and celebratory of the amazing diversity within our fantastic community.
Q: What is the best advice you’ve ever been given? If you don’t feel like you fit in in this world, it’s because you’re here to help create a new one.
Q: What drew you to working in the arts industry? Art is the most important thing in the world! Whether it’s experiencing it or creating it - it helps us understand the world, brings us joy and allows us to connect. I can’t imagine doing anything that doesn’t revolve around the celebration of art.
Q: Where is your favourite place in the world? Any dance floor that is playing pop bangers and filled with my fabulous friends.
