Australia's leading queer art prize
Winner of the 2026 Midsumma Art Award is J Davies (they/them) with A Tender Revolt [Medium: Instant Photography (Polaroid, Instax, Instax Wide) | Year: 2024-2025 ]. They receive a $6000 cash prize.
The winner of the 2026 Bundoora Homestead Art Prize is Chira Grasby (she/they). Chira receives an artist development opportunity with Bundoora Homestead Arts Centre plus $1000 cash.
The recipient of this year's People's Choice Award is Ulises Resendiz (he/him) for his artwork From two Worlds (The kangaroo & the axolotl). Ulises receives a $1000 cash prize.
Finalists are selected from across the country to exhibit works in a showcase of outstanding queer, political, potent and personal art.
Award winners share in a prize pool of $7K and a paid artist residency with Bundoora Homestead Art Centre. Voting for the People's Choice Award has now closed.
