Victoria’s Pride returns with 15+ statewide celebrations and Street Party date announced for 7 February
Fifteen regional projects will celebrate LGBTQIA+ creativity and community across Victoria ahead of Victoria’s Pride Street Party in Melbourne on Sunday 7 February 2027.
Midsumma has announced the date for Victoria’s Pride Street Party, with Victoria’s annual statewide celebration of LGBTQIA+ pride, visibility and connection culminating in Melbourne’s iconic Gertrude and Smith Street precinct on Sunday 7 February 2027.
The free, all-ages Street Party will bring Victoria’s LGBTQIA+ communities together for a day of live music, performance, drag, comedy, DJs, art and celebration, transforming Melbourne’s inner north into a vibrant celebration of queer life and culture.
Victoria’s Pride is delivered by Midsumma in partnership with the Victorian Government, with celebrations beginning across regional Victoria in the lead-up to the Street Party.
This year’s Victoria’s Pride Regional Activation Program will support 15 Regional Events spanning the state, providing opportunities for LGBTQIA+ artists, creatives and communities to tell their stories, develop new work and celebrate queer life close to home.
From queer songwriting and poetry in Beechworth to cosplay and creature creation in Bendigo, a queer photography project in the Mallee and a celebration of LGBTQIA+ history in the Wimmera, the program showcases the breadth and diversity of LGBTQIA+ experiences across regional Victoria.
Projects also include a summer performance residency in Healesville, a creative residency in Portland, queer creative events across Castlemaine and Daylesford, and culturally safe creative programming for Aboriginal LGBTQIA+SB communities in Wodonga.
The Regional Activation Program is designed to support locally led arts, cultural and community projects, strengthening visibility, connection and creative opportunities for LGBTQIA+ people across regional and rural Victoria.
The program builds towards Victoria’s Pride Street Party on Sunday 7 February 2027, which will close the 2027 Midsumma Festival following three weeks of LGBTQIA+ arts, culture and community celebrations across Melbourne and regional Victoria.
Midsumma Festival 2027 runs from 17 January to 7 February 2027, with Midsumma Carnival on 17 January, Midsumma Pride March on 31 January and Victoria’s Pride Street Party bringing the Festival to a close on 7 February. Midsumma Festival 2027 full program announced 24 November 2026

About Victoria’s Pride
Victoria’s Pride is an annual statewide celebration of LGBTQIA+ pride, visibility and connection, delivered by Midsumma in partnership with the Victorian Government.
The program includes the Regional Activation Program, which supports arts, cultural and community projects led by regional artists, groups and organisations. The program culminates in the free Victoria’s Pride Street Party in Melbourne’s Gertrude and Smith Street precinct.
