With a small core team working year-round from the Midsumma Office in Melbourne’s CBD, we grow into a vibrant seasonal workforce each festival season, bringing together passionate creatives, producers, administrators, community leaders, and LGBTQIA+ and disability community advocates to help deliver one of Australia’s largest queer arts and cultural festivals.

Working at Midsumma is fast-paced, collaborative, purpose-driven, and deeply connected to community. Whether you’re supporting artists, coordinating volunteers, producing events, or helping audiences experience the festival, every role contributes to creating spaces where LGBTQIA+ communities can celebrate visibility, creativity, and connection.

Due to the nature of delivering Midsumma Festival, our team works from the office five days per week during the lead-up to festival delivery.

Festival Administration Coordinator

Midsumma is seeking a highly organised and community-minded Festival Administration Coordinator to support the smooth day-to-day running of the Festival office and assist with key Festival logistics, including Pride March coordination. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced creative environment, enjoys working across multiple projects, loves chatting with people, and is passionate about supporting LGBTQIA+ communities and arts culture.

You’ll work closely with artists, community groups, partners, volunteers and Festival staff across administration, stakeholder communications, event logistics, CRM systems, and office coordination.
