“AN ARTISTIC FIREBRAND”- THE AGE. THIS EXHIBITION IS EXCELLENT AND WELL WORTH EXPERIENCING" QRAVE- ★★★★ - ARTSHUB
Critically acclaimed artiste, performer and journalist Jessi Ryan returns to the Midsumma Presents program with a deeply personal and reflective experiential project that in clear eyed vision exposes the faultlines in discourse that seek to erase us.
SKIN: THE EXHIBITION from 6-8 February brings contemporary queer histories to the fore, through an immersive video experience. Enshrined in this space are the stories of 6 diverse lgbtqia+ community members as told by their tattooed cartography. Using your personal device- scanning a series of QR codes unlocks further content and interviews.
SKIN features the diverse stories and experiences of these 5 community participants, alongside the inclusion of Ryan’s “self portrait”.
