Planting queer joy across regional Victoria

We’re delighted to invite you to Regional Spotlight: Geelong — a welcoming, community-led social pop-up celebrating connection, creativity, and talent in regional Victoria.

This event has been thoughtfully designed for people who enjoy social connection in a relaxed, inclusive environment. It’s not a nightclub and not a formal performance show — instead, it’s a café-style gathering centred on belonging, ease, and shared joy.

Whether you’re coming with friends or attending solo, you’ll be warmly welcomed.

What is Regional Spotlight: Geelong?

Regional Spotlight is a community-designed social event that brings people together in a comfortable, low-pressure setting. The focus is on community, creativity, and connection, with gentle structure and plenty of room to engage at your own pace.

What will happen on the day?

The afternoon unfolds as a relaxed, canapé-style gathering rather than a tightly scheduled show. You can expect:

  • A warm welcome at the start of the event

  • Seating available, alongside standing and mingling areas

  • A relaxed café-style atmosphere

  • Short live performances woven throughout the event

  • A simple, interactive social activity to spark conversation and connection

  • Space to chat, observe, participate, or move and dance casually

There’s no expectation to perform or socialise constantly — you’re invited to take part as much or as little as feels right for you.

Hosting & performances

The event is hosted by Spencer Street, with live performances by Moxie Delite and Vaginamite, bringing moments of humour, colour, and celebration to the space.
