F*** Fabulous Warehouse Party Castlemaine

Five hours of queer joy. A party and sanctuary!

Created by Fat Fruit in collaboration with regional queer artists and community from Castlemaine, Daylesford and Bendigo, this five hour party is a Midsumma Festival event bringing together world class artists in a program of performances featuring the F*** Fabulous Ensemble, DJ Designer, crowd karaoke hosted by beloved Castlemaine queer artist Jen Moore, live music from local queer band Age Of The Monotremes, flash mobs from local communities and a quiet colouring in corner.

This party is a celebration of regional queer creativity, collective care and radical joy. A place to meet kindred spirits, dance, sing, laugh and remember that queerness is so much more than sequins and sparkles.

At its heart, this event is both a party and a sanctuary, a safe and celebratory space for regional trans, gender-diverse and queer communities. An inclusive party that is neuro diversity affirming with pumping dance floors and quiet corners for opt in and opt out experiences.

This party encourages the local LGBTIQA+ community to come as they are, away from the pressure of queer scenes and embracing the diversity of our community and acting as a reminder that we are wonderfully different, creative and expansive.

Held at the Castlemaine Theatre Royal. Fat Fruit will create a 'Queer New World', turning the space into a playful, colourful party with different experiences on offer, and opportunities to participate as much or little as you like.
