A celebratory queer playground of glamour, art, pleasure and play — hosted by Jimi The Kween & Diloncé with special guest artists, performers and creators of chaos.

This summer, the Museum of Desire invites you to step into a world where desire is art, art is fabulous, and every expression of identity is not only welcome, but adored.

As part of Midsumma Festival 2026, on Wednesday 21 January Museum of Desire will deliver A Midsumma Night’s Fantasy — an evening immersive art party hosted by the incomparable Jimi The Kween and the ever-sensational Diloncé, alongside a shining constellation of queer artists, performers and creative troublemakers including Saint Eve, Disco Rodeo, Nicky Tsekouras and Nathan Mc Glynn.

This is not just a show you watch.
This is a night you feel, move through, touch, witness, and inhabit.

A Celebration of Love, Fluidity, Self-Expression & Play
Across more than 25 immersive installations, including the show stopping Mirror Room by Melbourne performance artists The Huxleys, as well as other local and international queer art on display, guests are invited to wander, mingle, lounge, flirt, explore and experience the museum in full festive bloom.

Expect art that invites reflection, spaces that encourage connection, and moments of pure joy and mischief.

The 21 January special evening offering includes:

• Jimi The Kween will be serving up a tasty banquet of delight as our hostess of desire. Pop up shows, dj sets and surprises that will leave you gagged. Strap in and Strap on!
• Diloncé is hitting the Museum of Desire with vocals, sultry choreography and irresistible sex appeal. Expect glamour, sensuality, and high-voltage diva charisma!
• Saint Eve is our secret weapon. In an intimate setting you’ll be left dreaming of them and wanting more, more, more...
• Disco Rodeo will teach everyone to dance like a pop star, culminating in a live performance in the museum to share your skills
• Pop-up Live Queer Artist Interventions including:
  o Nicky Tsekouras zero waste mural creation using found materials, live over 3 hours
  o Nathan McGlynn live art nudes – position your favourite ‘bits’ in a picture frame, and go home with a portrait of your personal exhibit
• Queer film & music video curation in the Erotic Cinema room
