There’s a story in you: Queer filmmaking workshop
Images: by Louise Lever
A queer filmmaking workshop - book one or two days!
Join local filmmaker Louise Lever for a special intensive filmmaking workshop, think a 48 Hour style film making with a focus on in-camera editing. Over the course of a fun two days, you'll learn key ideas in scriptwriting, including the inciting incident, queer representation in cinema, and in-camera editing techniques. You'll work in small teams of four, and by the end of the workshop, you'll have a 5-10 min film to screen. No experience necessary, just a positive attitude and sense of adventure! You never know who you'll meet - it could be your new producer or director. Come along for a weekend of laughs. All camera gear is provided. Each day runs from 9am-4pm. Book in for either a one day session, or both days to get the most out of the workshop experience. Community are welcome to get in touch if cost is a barrier.
Day one: Quick Scripts & Story Boarding.
Working in small groups the participants will come up with a story arc for a short film, write a script and story board each scene.
Day two: Filming and editing.
Each group will go off to film their scenes and then come together to learn in-camera editing.
