O UT at BSG

A vibrant exhibition platform for LGBTQIA+ artists to create, connect, and thrive—free from constraint.
Established in 2018, the Emerge exhibition series was created as a platform for artists working across all mediums to present their work in a supportive, community-focused setting. The aim is to provide space for both emerging and established artists to showcase their latest creations without the pressure and logistical demands of a solo exhibition. Instead, Emerge fosters a shared environment where dialogue, experimentation, and artistic growth are encouraged. It is a celebration of creative diversity, risk-taking, and the many stages of artistic development.
In our upcoming edition, O UT: Emerge, we turn our focus toward amplifying the voices of LGBTQIA+ artists working in the emerging space. This special iteration is designed to uplift queer perspectives, narratives, and expressions in contemporary art. Importantly, there is no overarching theme or curatorial constraint placed on the work; participating artists are free to present pieces that reflect their current practice, personal explorations, or even new experimental directions.
Whether continuing in a familiar vein or deviating into unknown territory, the works included in O UT: Emerge will represent a dynamic cross-section of LGBTQIA+ creative energy. This open, unfiltered approach allows for authenticity, vulnerability, and bold expression, making the exhibition a true reflection of where each artist is in their journey.
O UT: Emerge is not only an exhibition—it is a space of visibility, support, and connection. It celebrates queer artists not just for their identity, but for the breadth, depth, and innovation of their creative voices.
