Face to Face Performance Showreel

'Face to Face' premiered at Midsumma Festival in The Basement Theatre at Footscray Community Arts, February 2022. 'Face to Face' features 'Creative Access', an approach that advocates and leverages awareness of the need for better cultural safety for Deaf and Disabled people.

This is done by exploring the many ways creatively embedding access and inclusion relevant to Deaf and/or Disabled creators can make new work.

Face to Face is led and co-created by The Demographic Dance OFF, a collective of Deaf and Disabled peers. The show is centred around the artists’ expression of what connect and disconnect feels like and resolves to shift the viewer’s awareness through Creative Access approaches i.e embedding Poetic Auslan, Sensory Soundscape and Audio Description.

The result?? A new, evocative and innovative sensory experience by The Demographic Dance OFF.
