Yes, you CAN be both queer and Catholic
Acceptance Melbourne has been creating and claiming safe and fully affirming spaces in Melbourne for 50 years. Grab dinner on Chapel Street then join us for a Midsumma version of our monthly mass at 8pm at St Joseph's Church. This generally lasts about 45-60 minutes, followed by an optional cuppa and treats in the hall upstairs, wrapping up around 10pm. We welcome people of all backgrounds, you do not have to be Catholic to attend, but we ask that you are queer affirming and remain respectful during the mass.
We are an affirming, non-profit organisation in Melbourne, Australia that supports Catholics who identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex, Queer, Questioning and all of their allies. Acceptance Melbourne empowers one another through fellowship and understanding, believing in God’s love for all. We provide a safe and sacred place for spiritual growth.
