Queerness in Colour: Spoken Word Event
Queerness is so much better spoken in colour
Queerness in Colour is excited to debut in Garfield (West Gippsland) as a live spoken word event centring queer, First Nations, and culturally and racially marginalised voices. Bringing together performance, storytelling, and conversation, the event will feature a powerful line-up of artists sharing work that reflects the complexity, beauty, tension, and truth of queerness across different lived experiences.
Set in West Gippsland, this event creates space for stories that are often sidelined, offering audiences an evening of intimate performance and meaningful connection. Alongside spoken word presentations, the program will also include a panel discussion that invites deeper reflection on identity, community, culture, and belonging.
Queerness in Colour is a celebration of voice, creativity, and visibility — an event where storytelling becomes a way to witness, challenge, and connect.
