Enchanting queer fairy tales!

The Story Keepers are coming to share a silly, playful, musical, unapologetically queer show for kids and everyone young at heart. Join Galen, Magnus, Topher, Calico, and Arly (and don't forget Esmeralda the chicken) as they bring three forgotten fairy tales to life!

With your help, umbrellas will be transformed into swords, chairs will be turned into mystical mountains, and enchanted forests will be made before your eyes. Meet wise giants, sneaky animals, and silly Vikings who are revealed to secretly be... well you’ll have to come see that one for yourself! The Story Keepers will have you giggling, imagining, and asking for more! You haven't seen fairy tales quite like this before.

Kids say: "I want to see it again!", "My favourite part of the show was all of it", and "I give it 100 out of 5 stars!"

Parents say: "Absolutely brilliant!", "I grinned like a dope through the whole thing", "I wish we had a show like this when I was little", and "a boost for the soul."

Performed by Chantal Amber, Callum Bodman, Flynn Davis, Cian Morgan, Kieran Tierney, and Esmeralda the chicken.

Directed by Em Chandler

About Em Chandler

Em Chandler (she/they) is a proud queer/trans storyteller, magician, and theatre-maker, based in Ballaarat and Naarm. With over 16 years of experience working with kids and their adults, Em adores connecting with others through kindness and wonder. Em loves to bring her unique repertoire of spells, stories and songs to every situation - whether intimate community events or major festivals. Passionate about social justice, fairy tales, and drinking tea, a stranger once told Em, “No offence, but you look like an elf”. The Sydney Morning Herald on the other hand calls Em "pure enchantment".
