WE'RE BACK, BUTCHES!

After sold out seasons, a regional road trip, a cheeky Matilda Award nomination for Best Musical/Cabaret, and a 2023 tour including Midsumma and Sydney WorldPride, your favourite gals are u-hauling their way back to Melbourne for another season at Chapel Off Chapel.

Lesbian Love Stories features tales of lady love from across the globe, told anonymously through song, speech and prose, giving the audience an inside glimpse of the lesbian experience. The anonymous nature of the work allows both audience and cast members the freedom to share and explore without fear of judgement or ridicule. Unashamedly honest and raw, Lesbain Love Stories will provide you with a good laugh and an awkward moment (or three).

From a snazzy jazz rendition of Britney Spears ‘Toxic’ to some Musical Theatre classics, the trio's harmonis vocals and eclectic arrangements will leave you wanting more!

Buckle in.

Nominated for 'Best Mainstage Musical or Cabaret' - Matilda Awards 2020/2021

CAST AND CREATIVES

Writer / Co-Artistic Director / Performer: Natasha Veselinovic
Creative Consultant / Co-Artistic Director / Performer: Chloe Rose Taylor
Performer: Ruby Clark
Music Director / Keys: Luke Volker
Producer: The Local Lesbians

The Local Lesbians is a production company focusing on queer and female representation, headed by two Aussie lesbians.

Co-Artistic Directors, Natasha Veselinovic and Chloe Rose Taylor, are proud queer women and professional performers who have worked both nationally and internationally over the past decade. They often felt that there were very few (if any) lesbian shows on stage - particularly not ones that they could relate to, or that normalised same-sex relationships, so they decided to create one - ‘Lesbian Love Stories’. From there, their production company, The Local Lesbians, was born.
