Light Touch

Emerging artist exhibition by Jane Korneyko
Light Touch is an appreciation of the fleeting moments of unique shapes and shadows our bodies create, forever lost unless captured at a single point in time. A vulnerable depiction of a moment; intimate, dark and desiring. Deeply personal and intimate, each body's curves and outlines offer unique blends of light and shade, which I capture in predominately monochromatic colours. Monochrome, in my opinion, offers not only a timelessness but invites the viewer to imagine the scene of the painting as it was captured with their own perspective, desire and ultimately colour.
Jane Korneyko is a proudly Ukrainian-born, emerging artist based in Melbourne, Australia.
Jane will be floating around for the opening night Tuesday 23 January and will do a speech and Q&A at 7:30pm.
