Queer PHOTO - Photography Panel: Navigating a Male Dominated Industry **CANCELLED
Image: by Nelly Skoufatoglou
Are there challenges that cis men don’t experience?
What can we do to make improvements within the industry?
Join photographers Frenchie Holiday, Kira Puru, Leilani Fuimaono [Queer PHOTO - So'otaga (Connection)] and Isabella Capezio [Queer PHOTO - Workshop: Cyanotype Photography with Isabella Capezio] for a discussion on life as a photographer, the hard parts, the lovely parts and tips for new and experienced photographers.
This is a chance to hear from a range of industry professionals who specialise in a vaiety of styles - from queer landscapes, to studio portraiture, to event photography.
Come and hang out with a bunch of lovely queers, meet other upcoming and seasoned photographers and chat about the industry.
Frenchie is a Naarm based photographer who blurs the lines between fantasy and reality with her work, inviting viewers to embrace the fantastical and explore their imagination. Kira Puru is part of the Australian music scene. Leilani's work reflects on her experiences as a member of the intersecting LGBTQIA+ Pasifika community and finding belonging. Our host, Isabella, is an RMIT lecturer, whose work looks at landscape photography through a queer lens. Through their varied backgrounds, these artists will introduce you to a wide range of perspectives on the photography industry.
